Let’s break free from smoking.

There are still
.5 million adult smokers.
in Nepal today.

We need to break free from smoking combustible cigarettes, but many smokers don’t quit. For these people, harm can be reduced by switching to smoke-free products.

We are here to encourage, educate, and give smokers in Nepal a better life.

What is harm reduction and how can it be applied to smoking?

Human progress means always finding ways of changing things for the better. Now, we’re able to use technology to reduce harm and create safer ways of doing things. This idea applies to smoking too, and it’s called ‘tobacco harm reduction.’

It’s clear that smoking is harmful, but many are unsure why exactly. Many incorrectly believe nicotine is the most harmful component of smoking, but although it is addictive and not risk-free, smoke is the main cause of smoking-related diseases – not nicotine.

Quitting is always the right thing to do, but smoke-free products are a way of reducing exposure to smoke, and therefore harm, for those who don’t quit. By cutting out smoke, smoke-free products can produce far lower levels of harmful chemicals than cigarettes.

Smokers deserve to have the facts

Information can help smokers leave cigarettes behind, changing their lives for the better.

Smoking is harmful, but too many people lack knowledge about the main cause of smoking-related diseases. Many are also not aware that smoke-free alternatives exist while these provide smokers a better option than continuing to smoke.

Let's break free from smoking by ensuring everyone has access to the facts.
